Description
Professional responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules and plans in industries such as construction, engineering, oil and gas, and manufacturing. Their main goal is to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Scheduling: Create detailed project schedules using tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project.
Resource Planning: Estimate and allocate resources (labor, materials, equipment).
Progress Monitoring: Track project progress and update schedules accordingly.
Reporting: Generate regular progress reports, forecasts, and delay analyses.
Risk Management: Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Coordination: Work closely with project managers, site engineers, and stakeholders.
Cost Control: Sometimes, planning engineers are also involved in tracking budgets and cost performance.
