Omscrub is a medical uniforms company that sells international brands. We are looking to hire an Omani part time accountant.
Job Description
The candidate is required to carry out day to day accounting tasks for our shop and store.
The candidate is also required to prepare and file annual taxes for the company to the Oman Tax Authority.
Key Responsibilities
1- Maintain all accounting records in proper order and ensure that they are constantly updated.
2- Keep information confidential and secure them with random database backups.
3- Entering the daily sales transactions in the Track Accounting System and preparing sales reports for management information.
4- Issuance of official cash receipts, cashiering, and depositing the money in the bank at the end of the day.
5- Recording of fixed assets and effective inventory management.
6- Processes payments/checks after verifying the validity, completeness, and correctness of supporting documents
7- Supervise accounts receivable activities relating to organized and independent retailer purchases.
8- Bank reconciliation & preparation of bank payment vouchers & cheque.
9- Monthly bank reconciliation statements prepared, at the end of each month and approved.
10- Preparing the monthly payroll of the entire staff of the employer
11- Assist with external audits, including financial statements.
12- Any other work, as a part of my duty.
Preferred Candidate:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
