Job Description: The Accounts Assistant will support the finance team in a variety of accounting tasks, helping ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the department. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented and has a solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Entry: Entering financial transactions into accounting software or spreadsheets.
Invoicing: Assisting with generating and sending invoices to clients or customers.
Accounts Payable/Receivable: Processing invoices, verifying payments, and ensuring timely payment collections.
Bank Reconciliations: Helping with reconciling bank statements and identifying discrepancies.
Payroll Support: Assisting with payroll data entry or preparing payroll reports.
Expense Reporting: Assisting employees with expense reporting and ensuring accurate records are maintained.
Filing & Organizing: Maintaining organized financial records and documents, both physical and digital.
Assist with Financial Reports: Helping the finance team prepare monthly or quarterly reports.
Ad Hoc Tasks: Completing various accounting tasks as required by the team.
Skills & Qualifications:
Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Familiarity with accounting software (e. g. , QuickBooks, Xero, Microsoft Excel).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Previous experience in accounting or finance roles is an advantage but not essential.
Working Hours: Flexible, part-time (could range from 15-25 hours per week, depending on the company’s needs).
