Description

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Generator Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various types of generators. This role requires a strong understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities: • Perform preventive maintenance and repair work on generators (diesel, standby, premier) and related electrical/mechanical systems. • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair generator faults, malfunctions, or system failures. • Conduct inspections and tests using diagnostic tools such as multimeters, voltmeters, ammeters, etc. • Maintain accurate service records, maintenance logs, and complete work orders. • Ensure all work complies with relevant safety and industry standards. • Respond to emergency service calls and provide timely solutions. • Collaborate with other team members, technicians, and engineers as necessary. • Perform load bank testing and voltage adjustments to ensure optimal performance. • Provide customer support, answering questions about maintenance schedules and repairs. Requirements: • Proven experience as a Generator Maintenance Technician or similar role. • Strong knowledge of generator systems (mechanical and electrical components). • Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and diagrams. • Proficient in troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of various generator types. • Familiarity with diagnostic and testing tools (multimeters, etc. ). • Certification in Electrical Maintenance, Diesel Mechanic, or related fields (preferred but not required). • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Good communication and customer service skills. • Comfortable standing, crouching, or bending for extended periods.
