Description
I wanted HYQ1EA whereas the seller sent HYQ1AA FCC ID key which does not work with my GMC. So re-selling the FOB Key. Please note this is NOT a shell but an actual key that can be programmed to your Chevrolet Suburban Tahoe. To know what is the FCC ID of your Key, please open the shell the way you do it to replace the battery. And to Right hand side of te battery will there be FCC ID and Model mentioned. Below the battery will be Part number. You can send me that picture to before you buy these keys.
Some key points about the GMC/Chevrolet keys
1. Typical FCC IDs are: HYQ*EA HYQ*AA HYQ*ES HYQ*AS Fobs
2. The * is the number that will be there on the FCC ID and not relevant for the time being
3. The 5th letter matters. If A means then your Key uses 315Mhz and if the letter is E means means uses 433Mhz
4. Why is this important? In USA (A) they use 315 Mhz where as in Europe (E) the 433 Mhz is used. My guess is that, if you bought your GMC or Chevrolet in Oman, then the 5th letter should be E and if it is one of those you imported from US, the 5th letter should be A.
So please send me the Chip photo before you purchase these keys.
Programming: The programming is a breeze in case you have a spare working key. Youtube videos are there in plenty. If you dont have an original key, then its a bit arduous. An expert workshop will be able to help. The Dealership will also assist with a bit of requests. However my request is buy this for spare purpose as you can reprogram it easily.
