Position Overview: Designation: Aluminium Windows, Doors, and Curtain Walls Technical Workshop Supervisor The Aluminium Technical Supervisor will oversee the technical aspects of aluminium fabrication, installation, and maintenance projects. This role involves managing a team of technicians, ensuring quality control, meeting project deadlines, and adhering to safety and industry standards. Acting as a bridge between project management and the technical team, the supervisor will provide expertise and guidance to optimize production processes. . Key Responsibilities: 1. Technical Oversight: Supervise all aluminium fabrication and installation activities, including cutting, welding, bending, and assembling. Ensure all work complies with technical specifications, design drawings, and client requirements. 2. Team Management: Lead and train a team of technicians and fabricators to enhance skills and efficiency. Assign tasks, monitor team performance, and ensure deadlines are consistently met. 3. Quality Control: Inspect completed products and fabrication processes to maintain high standards of quality. Identify and resolve technical issues during production or installation. 4. Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to align on project objectives and timelines. Provide regular progress updates, highlight challenges, and propose solutions. 5. Safety and Compliance: Enforce health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Ensure strict adherence to industry standards and company policies. 6. Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the upkeep and calibration of tools and machinery used in aluminium fabrication. Report malfunctions and coordinate necessary repairs or replacements. 7. Resource Management: Monitor and maintain inventory levels of aluminium materials and tools. Work closely with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of supplies. Qualifications and Skills: Education: Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 5 years in aluminium fabrication, installation, or related fields, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Required Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints. Strong knowledge of aluminium properties, fabrication methods, and industry standards. Leadership skills to effectively lead and motivate a team. Problem-solving skills for quick decision-making and troubleshooting. Strong verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with teams and clients. Familiarity with CAD software and MS Office tools is an advantage. Work Environment: Factory/workshop setting with occasional on-site project visits. Role may involve physical labor and exposure to heavy machinery and materials. Key Metrics for Success: Timely completion of projects within budget. High-quality standards in products and services. Compliance with safety regulations and a record of zero workplace accidents. Job Details: 1. Salary: Negotiable 2. Working Hours: 9 hours a day, six days a week, with one day off per week. 3. Annual Leave: 30 days of paid leave after completing one year of service. 4. Air Ticket: Entitled to a free economy-class air ticket after completing 24 months of continuous service. 5. Contract Period: Initial contract of 2 years, starting from the first day of employment. Contract automatically renews for another 2 years unless terminated in writing by either party at least 4 months before the expiry date. 6. Other Terms: As per the prevailing Omani Labour Law.
